Story Pocket Theatre is a theatre company founded in 2013, dedicated to producing family theatre which keeps the classical stories alive.
They took their new version of the Arabian Nights to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2014, and won the Primary Times children’s choice award, and received 4 and 5 star reviews. They are about to kick off their UK-wide tour with Arabian Nights. The first shows are on Saturday 4th April at 11am and 2.30pm at Omnibus, Clapham Common, London, and I have a set of family tickets to give away for the 2.30 performance at this venue.
The first person to send me an email requesting the tickets gets them! Please see below for full terms and conditions.
Arabian Nights is touring until July and I am looking forward to going to see the show with the children in May. Watch out for my review and if you are the lucky winner of this giveaway I would love to hear what you think of it too!
The theatre company’s Patron is master storyteller and author of War Horse, Michael Morpurgo. He says, ‘It was apparent straight away that Story Pocket’s focus was on sharing stories in a bright, imaginative way. My passion for stories and writing has taken me all over the world and I am lucky enough to see my stories in print and on stage and screen. It was Story Pocket’s passion for story telling that struck me… I am delighted to be the Patron of Story Pocket Theatre Company.’
Here’s a sneaky peak of what to expect. The show is recommended for children aged 5+ and features family favourites such as Ali Baba and Aladdin and a host of genies, villains and princesses. It sounds a lot of fun to me.
Now don’t forget to email me if you are interested in seeing the show for free. You have a week from now. Good luck!
